Horus is one of the oldest and most significant deities in the ancient Egyptian religion. He was most often depicted as a falcon or, as a man with a falcon's head. He was said to be the sky and also considered to contain the sun and moon. After Horus's battle with his uncle Set (who had murdered his father Osiris) for the throne of Egypt he was chosen to be the ruler of the world of the living. (One of the best preserved temples in Egypt today ws dedicated to Horus. It is located in Upper Egypt at Edfu).
All my silver Egyptian jewellery is truly authentic as I purchase it personally from manufacturers in Cairo. I choose each item individually and with great care. It is all hallmarked.
